Thesis: Incubator Typology v.2.4.4
Below I have posted iterative prototypes of the largest spatial typology: the incubator (aka the Nerd Coliseum). All 2.x iterations shown in the diagram below.
This most recent version is undergoing modifications to allow for the inclusion of multiple variable typologies with different spatial/access/privacy requirements. While the previous helically stepped version produced continuously accessible work surface on their roofs, this has been replaced with smaller discontinuous runs of roof working spaces. I would like to bring some of the previous connectivity back into the next version, while avoiding the rigidity of the pure helix. I will attempt to do this by using an arc-sector strategy (ie pie slice) wherein each arc-sector spans between access cores, and can be variable in its programmatic content.
